NEC Malaysia and NEC Systems Integration Malaysia Integrate to form NEC Corporation of Malaysia Sdn. Bhd

KUALA LUMPUR, 8 April, 2008 – NEC Malaysia Sdn. Bhd and NEC Systems Integration Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (NECSIM), both subsidiaries of NEC Corporation in Japan, will integrate to form NEC Corporation of Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., with immediate effect.

Previously, NEC Malaysia was the sales office for NEC’s multimedia products, such as projectors and LCD monitors, while NECSIM was the sales and service support office for NEC’s IT, networking, security and systems integration, retail, logistics, software, outsourcing and managed services solutions.

The integration seeks to unify both companies’ functions, to provide customers an integrated total solution, and a single point of reference and contact. NEC Corporation of Malaysia will continue to be headed by Mr Daisaku Takeuchi, the Managing Director of the previous two companies.

“We will make use of our strong expertise and experience in providing retail solutions in Malaysia, and our cooperation with our HQ in Japan to provide more and newer services and solutions for the Malaysian market.” explained Mr Takeuchi.

NEC Corporation of Malaysia will also work closely with NEC Asia (based in Singapore) and other NEC’s subsidiaries in Indonesia and Thailand to jointly cooperate and promote NEC’s total integrated solutions in this region.
