ObTech Welcomes New CEO

SINGAPORE, 1 February 2010 – ObTech Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (“ObTech”), a subsidiary of NEC Corporation (HQ: Japan) based in Singapore, welcomes Mr Masaki Koizumi as its Chief Executive Officer, with effect from today.

ObTech is a global provider of innovative enterprise software solutions to the process industries, with offices in Bangkok, Cebu, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Penang, Singapore, and Tokyo. A wholly-owned subsidiary of NEC, ObTech was established in 1996 with the objective of providing software solutions and system integration services to process manufacturing firms. Its core competencies address the extended supply chain, including business solutions in the areas of Enterprise, Customer Relationship, Supply Chain, and Enterprise Performance Management.

Mr Koizumi joined NEC since 1990 and has been mainly involved in various aspects of NEC’s software business, especially Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), including research and development, marketing, sales and consultation. Prior to joining ObTech as its CEO, Mr Koizumi was managing ERP consulting and service projects for Japanese top-tier food and chemical customers in Japan, China and Singapore.

Mr Masaki Koizumi says, “Having been involved in the software business for the last two decades, I am aware of the importance of having the right tools and solutions to meet the critical needs of the company or the industry. I hope to share my experience and expertise in this area and to lead ObTech to greater heights in this region.”

Mr Koizumi will be assisted by Mr Michael Lim, who continues in his role as Group Chief Operating Officer for ObTech Asia Pacific.
