Alfamart Opts for NEC’s Latest POS Terminal and Retail Solution

JAKARTA, 28 June 2011 - Alfamart, one of the Indonesia’s leading retailers in Indonesia, has opted for NEC Corporation’s (“NEC”) latest Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal TWINPOS G5 to be implemented across all its outlets nationwide. Alfamart will be the first company in the world to use NEC’s latest TWINPOS G5 POS terminal.

 

PT NEC Indonesia (“NEC Indonesia”) will be implementing the new POS terminals at all Alfamart’s 5,000 store outlets in several phases, with the first phase to commence from October 2011.

 

Built with a compact form factor designed to fit within the limited counter space of a retail store, the TWINPOS G5 POS terminal, a sequel of the NEC’s “TWINPOS Series", is expected to reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) with easier maintenance. NEC’s “TWINPOS G-Series” is a product developed based on its expertise acquired through years of successful deployment at leading global retail and service companies.
