NEC Presents ERP Solution to Food and Beverage industry in Thailand
BANGKOK, 21 February 2012 – NEC Corporation (Thailand) Ltd recently organized a seminar to showcase its latest ERP solution aimed at helping the Food and Beverage (F&B) industry to achieve effective and productive supply chain management by harnessing the use of IT solutions in their businesses.
This follows the earlier announcement* by NEC and IFS on the launch of an extension to IFS Applications, the enterprise applications suite, for the Thai food and beverage industry. The extension is the result of a joint project involving both companies.
The event was officiated by Hiroshi Sato, President of NEC Corporation (Thailand) and several distinguished speakers from the industry presented on trends and solutions for increasing productivity in the F&B industry, including:
• Mr Wuttipong Boonnaiva, Production Manager, Department Manager, Thailand Productivity Institute (FTPI) who presented on “How to increase productivity for F&B industrial?”
• Ms Natta Thammatecharkorn, Senior Manager, IT Solution Division, NEC Corporation (Thailand) introduced the IFS F&B Solution; and
• Mr Yoichi Ishii, Chief Manager, Process Industries Solution Division NEC Corporation (Japan) who shared the case studies of F&B Solution.

The seminar was attended by more than 40 F&B manufacturers, many of whom expressed interested in the solution.
