NEC Participates in JETRO’s “Japan Festival” showcase in Yangon

Yangon, 9 March 2012 – NEC Asia Pacific, a wholly owned subsidiary of NEC Corporation (HQ: Japan), announced today its participation in the “Japan Festival”, in support of the first such tradeshow organized by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Myanmar. The 3-day exhibition, featuring reputable Japanese companies and brands, is held at Strand Hotel, Yangon, from 9 – 11 March 2012.

NEC will showcase its IT platform solutions, including its range of server and storage solutions, Point-of-Sales systems, Ruggedized PC and ExpressCluster High Availability solutions, through its appointed local partners – Knowledge Management & Dedication (KMD), and its network solutions such as telephony and UC solutions by Accel International.

With a vast population of approximately 60 million people*, Myanmar is considered a rising market in Southeast Asia, where the social and economic needs have been largely untapped and underdeveloped. NEC envisages this event as an immense opportunity to bring its technology to the community in Myanmar.
