NEC launches water and dust proof MEDIAS™ Smartphone in Thailand First country outside Japan to debut its MEDIAS smartphones

Bangkok, 3 April, 2012 – NEC CASIO Mobile Communications (NEC CASIO; HQ: Kawasaki City, Japan) announced today its agreement with SiS Distribution (Thailand) Public Co., Ltd. (SiS), one of Thailand’s leading IT equipment distributors, to market and sell NEC CASIO’s MEDIAS NEC-101S – a stylish yet water and dust proof Android smartphone in the Thai market.

 

Sales of the MEDIAS NEC-101S is expected to commence in Thailand before the Songkran festival, marking NEC’s first overseas venture to promote its MEDIAS phones globally.

 

SiS is one of Thailand’s leading distributors of IT equipment, including PCs and smartphones, with a sales network of over 1,000 companies domestically, primarily focused in Bangkok.
