NEC Indonesia showcases public safety capabilities at National Symposium & Expo Cybersecurity event in Jakarta

Jakarta, 3 June 2015 – NEC Indonesia will be participating as one of the supporting partners in the National Symposium & Expo Cybersecurity from 3 to 4 June 2015, at Borobudur Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia.

 

Organised by the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security of Indonesia (Kemenko Polhukam), the event will bring together Indonesian government leaders, agencies, academic institutions and technology providers to exchange on cybersecurity trends and the latest technologies.

 

NEC Indonesia will be showcasing its latest public safety capabilities, with a focus on advanced biometrics and cybersecurity technologies at the event.

 

At this show, NEC will highlight its “Cyber Security Factory for Law Enforcement” solution. This solution provides security surveillance of customer information systems, in-depth analysis of cyber incidents, and develops cyber security technologies to deal with evolving cyberattacks. Its capabilities include a Security Operations Centre (SOC) providing round-the-clock security surveillance of customers' networks and websites, human resource development for training qualified security professionals, and a cyber-intelligence function for analysis of cyber-attacks.

 

Biometric capabilities showcased include NEC’s Neoface suite of facial recognition solutions, which consists of Neoface® Watch, Neoface® Reveal and Neoface® Smart ID.  NEC’s NeoFace® Watch integrates face matching technology with video surveillance to extract faces in real time to detect identified persons for law enforcement purposes to spot individuals.

 

Neoface® Reveal is used for crime investigation purposes to search, process and match facial images to a mugshot database, while Neoface® Smart ID enables capturing and matching of face, finger and voice against a watchlist, and can be used from a smartphone or tablet during field operations.
