Singapore Cruise Centre Signs $2.5 Million Contract with NEC for Advanced IT Services

SINGAPORE, 19 January 2006 – Singapore Cruise Centre (SCC) has officially appointed NEC Solutions Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (NECSAP) as its technology partner to heighten its operational efficiency. Mr. Cheong Teow Cheng, President, SCC, and Mr. Tomohiro Yagi, CEO, NECSAP, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the S$2.5 million project today.

The project aims to enhance SCC’s cruise and ferry terminal operations for higher operational efficiency and better customer service and security. NECSAP will integrate the world’s leading technology into its various operations, including implementation of the region’s first *RFID-enabled boarding pass, and incorporating real-time information via SCC’s existing web portal,

The project has commenced since November 2005 and is expected to be delivered in stages progressively with complete implementation by March 2007.
