New generation monitors from NEC Display Solutions for multi-media applications - The NEC MultiSync 70GX² and NEC MultiSync 90GX² from NEC

Singapore, 22 March 2007 – With the NEC MultiSync 70GX² and the NEC MultiSync 90GX², NEC Solutions Asia Pacific is setting new standards in the gaming and multi-media sector. The 17 and 19 inch monitors with a reaction time of just 4 ms (gray-to-gray) using overdrive technology, a contrast ratio of 700:1 and a high brightness level of 400 cd/m² expand NEC range of products for the consumer market. Both monitors are equipped with the exclusive OptiClear DVM (Dynamic Visual Mode) technology, which guarantees bright and uniform reproduction of colors for moving images such as those used by video or gaming applications. The combination of a conventional analog and an additional digital DVI-D input guarantees not only the future compatibility of their ports but also complete flexibility.

The elegant and modern design of the new NEC MultiSync GX² range, with silver surround and black housing, is just one of the many highlights. The glossy screen surface guarantees a sharp contrast in dark environments and particularly high quality color presentation. The LCD-Display is also equipped with numerous features, providing even more additional benefits for the discerning home user. The integrated USB hub with four rapid USB 2.0 ports makes it easy to connect memory sticks, digital cameras, scanners, MP3 players or printers.

The NTAA (Non-Touch-Auto-Adjustment) function integrated into the display automatically monitors picture optimization settings as soon as the monitor is connected and every time the resolution or frequency is changed. The suitability of the NEC MultiSync 70GX² and NEC MultiSync 90GX² for multi-media applications, gaming, photo viewing or for showing films is guaranteed by the OptiClear DVM technology. Using the intuitive On-Screen-Menu (OSM), all essential screen settings can be entered using just four buttons, and by activating the Hotkey function, the NaViKey, which resembles a joystick, can be used to directly adjust the brightness and contrast set using the previously self-contained OSM. The new blue LED power button has been specially designed to meet the requirements of gamers, who usually play in darkened rooms. The blue LED not only looks stylish but doesn’t deflect attention from the main action on the screen in the dark. The intensity of the light can also be dimmed to suit personal preferences.

With their outstanding ergonomic features, both NEC MultiSync GX² monitors are designed for many hours hard work. NEC will also be extending its NEC MultiSync GX² range even further with the addition of a 20-inch wide screen monitor - the MultiSync 20WGX².
