SINGAPORE, March 27, 2007 – NEC Solutions Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (NECSAP), a wholly owned subsidiary of NEC Corp, will showcase its latest Generation 5 Automatic Border Control (ABC) Gate System, which combines multiple biometric identifications including iris, facial and fingerprint, together with document identification technology such as ePassport, and automatic height finder systems, at the Global Security Asia (GSA) 07 held at Singapore Expo Hall 2, Booth 904, from 27 – 29 March 2007.
The new Generation 5 ABC Gate System is an enhancement from the G4 system introduced in 2005, with additional features such as the iris identification and the automatic height finder and high end sensing systems, to further improve and heighten the security and identification processes of such self-service automated check-in systems.
Other key highlights at the GSA 07 include:
- Mobile Biometric Identification Systems: Wireless Enabled Solutions, shock-proof rubberised laptops and portable document readers for RFID Cards and ePassports offer multiple biometric identification on the move.
- NEC Intelligent Video Surveillance – SmartCatch™: Built on top 30 algorithm and based on an Open System which allows easy integration with other existing systems, the SmartCatch™ uses 12 behaviours to auto detect ‘events of interest’.
- 2D Facial Recognition – NeoFace Video Monitoring / Facial ID Tracking: An all-in-one unit that integrates into video surveillance system (CCTV), the NeoFace Video Monitoring protects premises by tracking the movement of all entrants with real time surveillance and time log.
- 2D Facial Recognition – NeoFace Time & Attendance on Touch Screen/Kiosk: An automated self-service time attendance log that is non-intrusive and user-friendly, and proven for outdoor deployment.
- 3D Facial Recognition – FIORE & Mugshot Matching Processor (MMP): With a 96.5% accuracy, the FIORE uses a high-end Ranger Finder that is exceptionally precise and fast, and imports 3D models and structural data in 0.6seconds in a relax and discreet procedure.
- Cisco Systems – NEC’s Physical Security Comms IP Inter-Operatility & Collaboration Systems (IPICS): integrates Voice, Data, Sensor and Messaging technologies that can be used within or across any network boundary such as Radio, Wireless and IP. The IPICS operates on real time from any device, from anywhere, on demand and when authorized. This technology was recently deployed in the Katrina Hurricane crisis in the US.
