Singapore, 14 November 2007 - NEC Asia Pte Ltd, a leading provider of innovative projectors, LCD flat panel displays, professional grade plasmas and integrated display solutions, today launched the NEC NP1150, NP2150 and NP3150 projectors. These professional integration projectors, targeted to large corporations, higher education and government applications, are the first commercially available projectors which enable users to utilize the “Connect to a Network Projector” wizard in Windows Vista.
Network Projector function within Windows Vista connects directly to networked projectors without the need for additional proprietary software. Remote Desktop Connection allows the NEC projector to connect to a networked computer remotely. Controlling a networked computer is as simple as connecting a USB mouse or keyboard directly to the projector’s USB input.
“Hardware and software compatibility are a competitive necessity for organizations today,” said Vincent Koh, Vice President, Multimedia Product Group, NEC Asia. “By being one of the first few companies to bring the benefits of Windows Vista compatibility to boardroom and classroom projectors, NEC is making it easy for both users and technology to connect and communicate.”
Silicon Optix HQV technology is a high-performance, video processing/scaling system designed for computer signals as well as standard or high-definition video. The technology produces superior video processing using pixel-based, motion-adaptive de-interlacing to remove undesirable motion artifacts typical of interlaced signals. This processing creates life-like images in applications such as video conferencing.
The NP1150, NP2150 and NP3150 range in brightness from 3,700, 4,200 and 5,000 lumens, respectively, providing images that can be easily viewed in rooms with high-ambient lighting conditions. The vertical and horizontal lens shift allow for flexible projector placement, and the complete line of optional bayonet style lenses enable quick and easy lens changes. NEC’s Eco-Mode technology increases lamp life up to 3,000 hours and provides quiet projector operation at 33dB.
