SINGAPORE, 16 March 2009 - NEC Asia, a wholly owned subsidiary of NEC Corporation (HQ Japan), has sealed a strategic alliance with Gateway Ticketing Systems to bring a world-class ticketing and admission solution to Resorts World at Sentosa (RWS).
With a history of more than 100 years in the IT industry and in constant pursuit of innovation, NEC has built a solid reputation providing total solutions in integrated IT and communications networks.
It is this ample experience and creative leadership in technology innovations that gives NEC Asia an edge as a system integrator, as well as head of consortium, contributing to the total ticketing and admission solution for Universal Studios Singapore. Its alliance with Gateway Ticketing Systems led to winning the Resorts World project.
Excited with the strategic alliance between two top-notch organizations in the world, Mr. David Ng, Senior Vice President of NEC Asia (Enterprise Solutions), said, “NEC Asia has partnered with Gateway Ticketing Systems, a global leader in the ticketing software industry, to manage the high volume of visitors expected at the venue. Our partnership will lead to a robust infrastructure which will yield a high return on customer satisfaction. This is exactly what the first and only Universal Studios theme park in Southeast Asia needed to ensure a memorable experience for its visitors.”
Gateway Ticketing Systems will lend its advanced technology to the project with their world-class ticketing system, Galaxy. Galaxy is a single, comprehensive ticketing solution designed to provide customers with a seamless system for revenue management, admission control and security. Galaxy modules installed at Universal Studios Singapore will include Point of Sale, Order Entry for group sales, and eGalaxy Server for online sales, as well as Kiosk.
Sharing his excitement for the alliance is Mr. Darryl Moser, Executive Vice President of Gateway Ticketing Systems. Mr. Moser said, “Gateway is pleased to be selected by Resorts World for this project and we look to bring our 20 years of experience in the attraction ticketing industry to deliver a world class solution to Resorts World. We look forward to working with NEC Asia as our partner in this project to deliver the localized project support to meet the demands of a project in Singapore.”
With such a well-matched alliance, NEC Asia and Gateway Ticketing Systems look forward to winning more projects of this caliber as Singapore grooms itself to be the world’s most exciting leisure destination.
