UM series Projector
Singapore, 9 January 2013 – No space? No problem! Because NEC has just the projectors you need to get perfectly sharp images, even in small venues where other projectors will simply be out of place. With its new UM Series, NEC shows that there are no limits when it comes to innovation and technological breakthroughs. And that can only be good news to anyone who needs a projector to work at its best where space is limited – in places such as classrooms, small offices, conference rooms or training rooms. Especially given that the UM Series come with so many other thoughtful, user-friendly features.
So how big a space do you need to get a UM projector to perform at its best? Not that big, really – in fact from as close as 10.5cm between the projector and the screen, you will be able to enjoy a clearly projected display of up to 62 inches. Which means that any UM projector you choose can do a good job, virtually anywhere that you put it into.
The many features that make it so easy to use only adds to the appeal of the UM Series projectors. All models – UM330W, UM330X, UM280W and UM280X – come equipped with Automatic Power On, and take only a mere 3 seconds to be ready for projection. The Quick Power Off and Direct Power Off functions are equally useful, allowing you to store the projector away immediately after use. Other innovations include a USB function that connects projector and PC with just one single USB cable, and wireless applications that gives you a free hand to send images to the projector from handheld devices such as tablets, iPads, iPhones and even iPods. A new and interesting option is the interactive eBeam, a plug-in module that allows for easy annotation and comes with plenty of teaching tools.
NEC's concern for the environment is well displayed in the UM Series, with multiple eco features that not only reduce power consumption and carbon emission, but also help lower your total cost of ownership. Chief among these is the Auto Eco Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to suit the projected image, cutting down on power used and extending lamp life to some 8,000 hours. A carbon meter makes it easy to visualise the amount of carbon emissions reduced, helping you to monitor and adjust your own carbon footprint.
Here's a look at the long list of other features that make the UM Series a prime choice when you need a projector that can put on a good show, at short notice:
• High contrast ratio of 3000:1
• Built-in powerful 16W speaker for excellent sound
• Newly added 2 HDMI and Microphone inputs
• USB port (Type A) supports JPEG Viewer function
• Virtual Remote Tool (VRT) function allows projector to be controlled from PC desktop
• Easy-to-see blue LED power indicator that is highly visible even to the colour blind
• “No signal guidance” lets you know instantly where to connect cables when there's no signal input.
• Two-layer, large filters require no regular cleaning and need only be changed during lamp replacement
• Advanced controller provides unified management including ability to switch power on/off for multiple projectors connected to a network.
• DICOM SIM mode allows for easy and accurate display of medical images
• In case of no signal input, power consumption automatically reduces.
• Low 0.4W power consumption in standby mode
