NEC revitalizes PA Series professional projector range for large venue applications

Singapore, 1st September, 2014 – NEC Asia Pacific has introduced six new LCD projectors to its PA Series professional range, reinvigorating the portfolio. The new innovative projectors bring an ultra-high-definition 4K interface, the ability to daisy-chain projectors via HDMI, as well as a multiscreen mode with built-in tiling function and edge blending. This makes it easy to combine information on one picture without compromising on quality.

The new PA Series models are ideal for customers looking for larger bright pictures in fantastic quality. They incorporate NEC's unique Scaler Chip, capable of managing 4K input and sharing the signal with connected projectors. Extended geometric control, a selection of lens options and portrait mode support, make installation as easy as ever. In addition one-projector 3D presentation is supported.

As well as support for ultra-high-definition content, the six new projectors offer high performance and outstanding picture quality for professional applications. They combine contrast ratios of up to 6,000:1 with unique features, such as NEC third generation Sweetvision contrast enhancement technology – delivering vibrant colours, rich film-like blacks and images that draw viewers into the crisp picture content. The 10-bit video processor provides true flagship performance in noise reduction, advance colour correction and scaling.

Advanced installation performance is offered through a range of features, including portrait picture mode support, which is ideal for digital signage applications. A wide 2x zoom, and vertical and horizontal lens shift enable easy and professional installation. Rich connectivity and multimedia features including DisplayPort, HDMI In – and HDBaseT – provide easy connection.

In line with NEC’s Green Vision, the projectors offer advanced green ECO features including low-energy consumption settings. The new models use only 0.16W of power in Stand-By mode – resulting in clear environmental benefits. With up to 4,000 hours lamp life and inorganic panels designed for longer usage and lower service cost, total cost of ownership (TCO) of the new PA Series projectors is low.  With the additional selectable ECO Mode technology extends each projector’s lamp life by up to 50 percent, while eco-conscious features like quick start (3 to 4 seconds), auto power on and direct power-off further advance the projector’s lifetime.

Additional LAN/WLAN network control is offered across all models through NaViSet Administrator 2, which enables remote monitoring and control of all projectors in a network, virtual remote software, and HTTP browser control to manage a single projector via a standard web browser.

The PA Series models also offer stacking capabilities which allows up to four projectors to be stacked vertically or horizontally to boost the image brightness up to almost 28,800 ANSI lumens, . This feature is an asset to larger-sized screens and environments with additional ambient light.  This feature also prevents the complete loss of an image, which can happen when using only one projector.  Moreover, with our tilt-free installation, it allows the projector to be rotated freely (360 degrees) in order to point up or down depending on the installation requirements.  


The PA series projectors include the following features:
- Up to 7,200 lumens
- In WUXGA, WXGA and XGA native resolutions
- Built-in HDBaseT support
- Connectivity includes dual HDMI with HDCP, DisplayPort, VGA and 5BNC
- Stacking capability (up to 4 projectors)
- Screen splitter (Multi Display) via Daisy Chain
- Complete line of six bayonet-style lenses
- 3D Reform, which squares the image by adjusting horizontally, vertically or
diagonally when the projector is placed at an off-set angle
- Cornerstone correction, which helps display the image properly when the
projector is set up at an angle to the screen
- Geometric correction, which allows the projector to display square-looking
images on cylindrical, spherical or cornered screens
- Mechanical horizontal and vertical lens shift
- Edge blending technology, which creates panoramic images with multiple
projectors
- DICOM Simulation
- Email notifications to inform the system administrator when the projectors’ lamps
approach the end of their useful lives

The PA series ship with a two-years limited parts and labour warranty, and are available now at an estimated street price as per below.
