Singapore, 12 September 2014 – NEC STEE Cloud Services (NSCS), a joint venture agreement between NEC Asia Pacific and ST Electronics (Info-Software Systems), announced today that they have achieved the ISO/IEC 27001 international standard for information security management from TÜV SÜD PSB Pte Ltd for the Cloud Oriented Data Centre. The certificate ceremony was held on 12 September 2014. The scope of the certification includes the management and operation of
NSCS Cloud and IT Services.
The globally recognized certification provides a systematic approach in the integration and alignment of information security management systems (ISMS) across different operations and sites. Structured information security methodology assessment of business processes was conducted to identify and mitigate risks, and to ensure conformity to information security review and audit requirements.

The ISO/IEC 27001 is the leading international standard for information security management. It covers commercial, governmental and not-for-profit organisations, and specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, monitoring and improving an information security management system (ISMS).
