Singapore, 13 June 2016 - NEC Asia Pacific and NEC Corporation’s Global Safety Division (GSD) have donated SGD10,000 to the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) as part of the NEC Make-a-Difference Drive* to support relief and recovery efforts for those affected by the earthquakes that struck Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan in April 2016. A cheque was presented to the SRC on 3 June 2016.
Employees from NEC Asia Pacific and NEC Corporation’s GSD, combined to raise a total of SGD8,319.00 with NEC Asia Pacific contributing the remaining amount.

Your spirit of generosity and solidarity definitely last a long way to help survivors in their resilience and recovery. We will continue to deliver the required aid, to improve the lives of those who are affected by the devastating earthquake" said Mr. Steven Choo, Deputy Secretary General (Administration) of Singapore Red Cross, a homegrown humanitarian organization.

We hope that our contribution will give relief to those affected and that their safety and well-being can be restored as soon as possible,” said Mr. Lim Kok Quee, Managing Director and Deputy CEO of NEC Asia Pacific.
