NEC Asia Pacific Debuts Unmanned Check-in Solution to support Hotel Operators with Safe Resumption of Business

Singapore, 25 August 2020 – NEC Asia Pacific (NEC APAC), the regional headquarters for NEC Corporation in Southeast Asia, today debuted its Mobility Unmanned Check-In Solution for the hospitality sector in the region.

NEC’s Mobility Unmanned Check-In Solution reduces in-person interactions between guests and staff in traditional lodging check-in and check-out processes. By providing an integrated physical terminal and NEC’s world leading AI-driven face recognition technology, guests can verify their information, retrieve their bookings, collect their keys and check-out at the end of their stay on their own.

In addition, hoteliers can integrate optional enhancements in their operations to perform highly accurate identity verifications that are needed in various areas, including breakfast entitlements, identification of preregistered VIPs, and granting access to hotel facilities.

NEC is currently working on a mobile solution to allow guests to pre check-in via their personal devices and collect their room keys upon arrival. This function will be made available to Mobility Unmanned Check-In Solution users at a later date.
